    LOL...now that's entertainment.

Big Lad got screwed, that dude could have been teeing off on him with those shots for four hours and still not knock him out.

He got him with a good one early on though. Big man threw the slowest shot in history in that fight as well, I nearly pissed myself laughing, the other dude could have taken a step back and kicked his punch.

I'm saving that to favourites, green K for you if it lets me.

before when there wasnt that large of a pool of talent or guys available to fight in the ufc they had to get whoever they could to fill the bill. now ufc has a deep, deep, pool of fighters and if you've noticed guys being out of shape dont fight in the ufc or get airtime basically. i can't remember in recent years of their being flabby fighters on the ufc, if so, i would say that it's about 1%.

i know for a fact that making weight is a big thing to dana white. he makes it a point to push the issue with fighters and coaches. i think he takes it personal if fighters come in out of fighting shape, i know that he doesn't give much room for guys being overweight, and if it comes fight time, he cuts them out and trashes their contract. he sends them down to the WEC or some other farming organization.

so i say no, you could make the argument that fat fighters have fought in the ufc, but it is seriously limited and controlled now with the newly organized ufc.

Oh there's no doubt about that, we all know how Arum is. I just think it's ****** for him to critisize Areola knowing that Areola isn't a body builder and never will be.

I loved that old style UFC.

It was great because it was really basic. Who is the best fighter? A boxer, a grappler, a huge fat-ass.

I hate that it evolved, lol.

there was a couple of guys that could have gone into the ufc earlier that were technically sound and skilled.

guys from brazil , like marco ruas , and sambo guys from russia , like oleg taktarov.

at the time though the gracies owned part of the ufc and they did not want skilled grapplers in the event. they preferred strikers and wrestlers to highlight and promote brazilian jiu-jitsu.
