Honestly, he didn't really look rusty to me either. I was already to use that excuse before the fight but after watching it, I give Paul a lot of credit. I'm liking Paul more and more.

I agree he was a bit faster, but a guy Like williams with his freakish reach and height for the weight class along with the workrate in my opinion would be too much for prime winky. You could tell Winky wanted to counter, but he couldnt because Williams would not let up. It would def be a closer fight, but i think Williams would still get the decision..something like 8-4.

btw that vargas/wright match is very underrated. Great fight.

I know what you mean but i think Winky couldn't counter because of his timing, because every time he would let his hands go he would be controlling the fight, like in the first round when he caught Williams with some hard counter punches and his jab was snapping his head back. The work rate at this stage was too much for Wright because he couldn't keep up the pace at that age( his stamina has been questionable in his last couple of fights) but him in his prime, he could fight the full 12. Him and Vargas went at it all fight long, and i agree its one of best fights Ive seen and i have it recorded.

I give Williams a lot of credit and I was one saying before the fight, that if Williams won, Winky must be shot. I think Paul would have given Winky trouble at any point in his career. Great win for Paul.
