The only clip of footage in the video I altered in anyway, was compressing the introduction for the Chavez fight. The part where it says his stats, hometown, and name on screen.

That clip was originally 30 seconds long, but I compressed it, and trimmed it down to however long it is now.

His handspeed clips are all legit, the ones HBO used on the episode of "Legendary Nights".

If the clips were sped up any, you'd be able to tell because his opponet would be moving (or in these cases, ducking) at a much faster rate, also.

    That's his natural speed.

Good job. I always thought about making a highlight of Meldrick Taylor but as you said it's hard to find any footage of him.

I'll probably make a video of my own about some of the fastest boxers ever and Meldrick will surely be included.

          Handspeed like you wouldn't believe.

I've never seen anybody flow combinations like he did during his prime, that type of speed is almost supernatural.

Appreciate the compliment, Manchine. I think I did pretty good with what I had, and I look forward to your video of the fastest boxers ever.

Chavez looked a little quicker than usual is what got me thinking that. No doubt Taylor's handspeed was phenominal. Sort of a faster, gutsier, orthodox Zab, that fought 12 full rounds instead of just 4 or 5. Damn, damn shame.

I'll check the episode of "Legendary Nights" again just to be sure, but I don't recall speeding anything up aside from the intro I mentioned.

I like your comparison, like a faster, gutsier, orthodox Judah that fought the full 12.

In other words : Nothing like Zab at all.

Not sure if you meant that to be funny, but I just found it humorous.

                Hell yeah. Great video.

With certain fighters I find people that swear the footage had to be sped up. Those fighters are just rare breeds.

Good way to tell: When he is throwing against Chavez, look at Chavez, look at the ref, look at the crowd...they are "normal speed." Taylor is just wicked fast.

Even though I made the video, and I know I didn't speed up anything aside from the intro, now Jim has me wondering myself.

I always knew Taylor was fast, but watching that video again and again like I am, it's playing some weird jedi mind trick on me and I think he gets faster everytime I view it.

I'm glad you liked it Benny, and I want to thank you for suggesting that song for the Hopkins highlight. I can't picture my Meldrick highlight without it. That was great looking out on your part.

Lol. I didn't initially mean it to be funny. I saw some similarities, but the more I got to thinking about it, the differences outweighed them. Plus I'm tired as hell. Peace and great vid.

I just did that and it's clear the footage has not been sped up any.

Words can't even describe Meldrick's handspeed. He snaps off 6-8 punch combinations in the time it takes a normal boxer to snap off 4.
