Breisdis Prescott does not have special power, or special anything

It was already proven that anyone with one hand can hurt Amir Khan before Prescott ever got in the ring with him. What else has he done? He looked awful against a really inexperience Abril on ESPN2 before that and after he couldn't hurt Humberto Toledo who had been previously stopped several times, including by feather fisted Lamont Peterson in one round. Prescott has scored three KOs in his entire career over guys who have posted winning records for their career. All his KOs have come against AWFUL competition that even mediocre prospects would be KOing left and right and against Khan who we know can't take anything clean. Prescott is garbage.
What you said about the quality of his opponents isn't good enough to say that his DOES NOT have special power. Just because he KTFO poor quality opponents doesn't mean he DOES NOT have power. It just means he is untested against quality opponents. He KTFO almost all his opponents nonetheless and that isn't something with "no special power" can do.Comment

Thanks, you too. I know I'm in the minority on this one, and I probably should wait for odds. I'm just not impressed with Valero, and I think Prescott has a lot of upside. In a couple of years, I think he'll be a force to be reckoned with, but I believe he's ready for Valero now.Comment

I've been pretty critical about Valero in the past but I think he has more going for him than Prescott does, I've seen Prescott fight 3 times now, the Abril, Khan and Toledo fights, apart from the Khan fight he hasn't looked that good against Abril and Toledo, the Abril fight can be excused because Abril was a good amateur and was moving around on him a bit but there's no reason why he should have looked unimpressive against Toledo, who was knocked out in 1 round by relatively light hitting Peterson. I just think he's too open to be hit and against a guy like Valero who has huge power, it'll be light's out. Valero has his shortcomings, no doubt about that but I think he has more the Prescott right now.Comment

Sig it.
50 + 15 or so is enough for me. Thanks though. I just don't like Valero, he seems to have improved a bit in his last couple of fights. But ever since I saw him get warned about a hundred times for just holding his hand on the guys head, not throwing a single jab, while he tried to tee off with the left, and judging by the level of his opposition, I'm not impressed.
My opinion is that Valero is the guy with the freakish power, while Prescott basically just fell into a jackpot situation. But I sure wouldn't miss this one for anything.Comment

Well after reading Silencer's post, I clearly need to watch more of Prescott, before betting any more on him. That left hook he hit Khan with was a thing of beauty though.Comment

I haven't seen Prescott fight a southpaw so I can't say if he'll struggle with the stance or not.Comment
