If you say 'KO' you mean given the ten count...that is the terminology of boxing.

If you say 'KNOCKED OUT' thus emphasising the fact that he was quite literally knocked OUT, then I at least expect him to have been down and unable to meet the count. Hatton was stopped. He wasnt down, out and gyrating, he didnt do a chicken dance, he wasnt on '***** street', he was simply stopped by accumulation punches from a better man.
