    I have a question

Do pro boxers use two handwraps for one hand?

I'm bored here trying out diff ways to wrap my hands and decided to try two on my right and it feels pretty good..If pros don't use two then what is it they they put that makes it look so huge? Gauze?

I springed my wrist on friday when i threw a left hook to my friends chest(I didn't have my handwraps on)

just wanted to ask anyone who boxes is it okay to use 2 handwraps for one hand. I don't want to ask at my gym because I don't want to look like a rookie

No... too much will cut off the circulation and be too tight inside the glove...

1 wrap per hand, with a little gauze for padding, and tape to keep it held together.

Hmm..yeah they feel pretty numb right now as I type..but when I use 1 they don't feel so protected..what else can I use to protect them better..I kinda have a fragile left hand and constantly spring it.

Double up on your gauze, and see how that works. You might want to try doubling up on the tape as well.

The more you wrap it with gauze and tape, the less powerful your punch will be.

So just experiment with different ways of wrapping, different combinations of gauze and tape, and see which one works best for you.

What about plaster of paris. That way you dont have to put much of an effort on your punches, but use plenty of Gauze. I'm kidding I dont know. I'm also bored so excuse my nonsense.

As a purist I would like to note that this is principally incorrect, the power will stay the same, but the more "padding" there is in the wrap, the more time it takes for energy kinetic release and the less shock value there is to the punch. But power stays the same.

more tape/gauze adds weight thus more power.

Isn't shock value the same thing as power though? I mean, you don't really want to sacrifice either, if you don't have to.
