    Paul Williams fights after Margarito
    Quintana x2
    Andy Kolle
    Verno Phillips
    Winky Wright
None of these boxers come close to AA's punching power, much respect to pwill, but he is VERY open to counters, ESPECIALLY counter lefts, which is where aa puts people to sleep. Can we at least agree he has NOT faced a heavy handed boxer/puncher yet, at least not from what I have seen. Pwill WILL feel aa's power, and try to box from the outside to no avail, because of aa's defense, he is going to be hitting gloves. Again I like Pwill but AA puts him out, it will be very early(2-4) or very late (10-12).

In the same argument. Who has Abraham beaten outside of Germany??? Is any of the boxers on THAT list at least half as skilled as Paul Williams???

Punching power is not all. If you don't believe me, just ask Kermit Cintron after he stepped up the challenge. Kermit was ripping heads off until he faced better competition. I bet Abraham can KO 1,000 bums, so what... We are talking about Paul Willimas, not Kingsley Ikeke.

You said Quintana put on a perfect night of boxing, and he barely beat Williams..... It is strange that people act likethat fight was some sort of demilition job (I guess when a guy you arent used to seeing lose, loses your mind makes a bigger deal of it). Also, Quintana while not a world beater is still a pretty damn good boxer, and is capable of pulling the upset.

Could Cotto, Pavlik, Abraham, Mosley, Clottey, Martinez, Mayweather etc etc etc beat Williams? Hell Yeah, but so what, they are all really good boxers last I checked.

I do get annoyed at people who act like Williams is the 2nd coming of Ray Robinson, but I get equally annoyed with those that act like if a fighter isnt that 2nd Coming, that they arent ****. Hell even Ray Robinson lost some fights. How dumb would someone have looked if they started saying Robinson was suddenly very beatable after he lost to Turpin?

Anyway I am just ranting here, I am NOT comparing Williams to Robinson, just saying I am as sick of the shameless hating as I am of the shameless nuthuggery around her.

Movement is the way to beat Williams.

no its not. In any sport especially boxing athletes that are lengthy can easily neutralize lateral movement. In basketball the worse defenders to face are guys with long arms because they can easily recover and crowd you. Basketball is not boxing but the same applies in this situation. He has a 82" reach which means while you are trying to move side to side and away its still hard to get out of his range. Instead of lunging which is the reason for movement he can just take a step and still get to you if that makes since.

Not d!ck riding but once learns to fight like a tall person and to fight better for long range he will be very unstopable. Not saying he wont loose but I feel if he is on his game I really dont see too many weakness.

Quintana could not make mistakes, he did not the first time around. So essentially and basicly, Carlos had a perfect night in order to beat PW. It was a convincing evident win, not a "barely win". I saw it 7-5, but most saw it 8-4. Quintana showed good skills and fundamentals. But one mistake in the second fight was enough to get his arse KO.

If you want to talk about "barely wins", how about Berto and Hatton agaisnt Collazo. The worst part is that he had no rematch, which he earned and deserved.

Quintana had a lot of lateral movements agaisnt PW during the first fight. Plus he is also southpaw stance.

also, not to take anything away from quintana, but it's clearly evident PW overlooked him for the first fight, and was surprised of quintana's skill level.

quintana's a decent fighter, but clearly not in the same class, and that lost made PW take things a lil more seriously. i'd love to see a third fight, to shut everyone up, as if the second fight wasn't enough....

Williams doesn't fight that way, as we saw in the Quintana fight, he couldn't get his feet set to throw his punches when his opponents move, he didn't cut off the ring well in that fight and kept reaching in with his punches, bending down in the process which opened himself up to punches, Verno Phillips had a little success when he was moving side to side as well but those moments came few and far between.

Just because you have size and length doesn't mean you know how to stop lateral movement, you need to know how to cut off the ring etc. Williams isn't that good at that.

Trust me, smart movement is the way to beat Williams, make him miss by ducking under his shots, step to the side, make him reset and blast him.
