yea, but Duran was in his midteens when he weighed that little. you really cant count that.

he only started fighting effectively at the top level at 130lbs...and thats what matters.

also, Ill throw in Henry Armstrong, although the guy was way too small to compete at today's Middleweight(theyre much bigger guys nowadays, because the day before weigh in).

This is tricky because of the different weights he fought at. If it wasn't for the Bernard Hopkins fight I'd say Pernell Whitaker. Just makes it tricky to think of someone who can beat the fighters at the low, middle and high weight ends that De La Hoya fought in.

Walker Smith Jr. is a likely candidate IMO. He could shrink to 130 in his youth under modern weigh in rules, and could play a clever boxing chessmatch to beat a very very slighlty past it Bernard Hopkins.

Id say a prime winky wright. he beat mosley and trinidad got robbed with vargas and lost close decision to bhop. Hed beat floyd at 154 if DLH can land at will (thought dlh won imo) Winky would land too and prime winkys defense would match up with mayweathers. Everyone needs to stop saying Paul Williams, He would not have a chance against prime Mosley, Trinidad, Hopkins etc...

For the record, leaving out De La Hoya's fights from when he was clearly past it, I can't see Paul Williams beating Trinidad, Mosley, or Quartey. He MIGHT be able to outpoint Whitaker by by jabbing from the outside all fight long. As for Mayweather: Trinidad and Mosley probably beat him, Quartey might beat him, and Whitaker I guarantee beats him.
