I felt Oscar could have had a couple more big fights.

I personally think it's cruel to expect any more from him. I think it is cruel to expect boxers to do anything actually considering how dangerous the sport is.

Oscar knows his body better than everyone, it's best that he retires with his health, he is not in a situation where he needs money and he has a pretty good legacy nothing he can do now would increase it, only things that would are impossible at this stage ( beating Cotto or Pacquiao in a rematch).

He would have to fight some no names which wouldn't really add to his resume but would actually stain it if he were to lose.

I was about to post something similar.

Many fans seem not to care until the fighter is dead or ends up like Ali. And remember, when you are in ill health, your mind doesn't work well and you have a better chance of losing your money...losing everything.

Dance Monkey, Dance; is what the mob wants. And when you are finished, your burial awaits.

A fighter should retire when he wants but I would suggest bringing in the thought of retirement once you feel you slipped from your prime.

Man it doesnt matter though it wouldnt really make a mark beating chavez at all. Also if for some reason he had a eally bad night and lost it would stain his legacy. Hes done more than enough in boxing
