You may not have liked everything he's done and have been very critical of him, but you have to respect him. I was never the biggest Oscar fan. I criticized him, but I've always respected him. I will never forget what he's done and meant to boxing. Thank you for the memories Oscar!! Let's all pay our respect.

People give him WAY too much **** for the Pac fight. It was a ***** move taking it I agree, but come on.
His resume as far as who he has fought has few equals.
And what makes that mean even more is that he never had to fight the people he fought. He was the biggest draw in the sport, he could have hand picked his fights but he didn't, he always challenged himself.
Oscar gets a lot of unwarranted hate and it's really a shame. You give the power in negotiations that Oscar had to other people and you can bet your ass their resume won't look like Oscar's.Comment

Oscar #1 .
Growing up in a small farm town in the midwest, u were the only bright spot in a boring and monotonous life. When i spoke of you as a fighter, i spoke of you with pride.Comment

He always took on the best.. and for a while he was the best.. I remember seeing him fight for the 1st time.. and falling back in love with boxing because of it.. His punches were so silky smooth.. His combos crisp and accurate..His baby face hiding the savage within.. He was a Great finisher during his prime as well..
My only criticism is that eventually he took ODLH too seriously and sort of became a parody of himself..
But when he was Just a "Boxer".. no one was betterComment
