What is so impressive about Paul Williams jogging 7 miles a day?

I read Jeff Lacys blog back in the day and he runs about the same amount of miles a day, and Lacys no great fighter. Meaning Paul Williams is a good fighter but I don't get why people think running 7 miles a day is anything special when most boxers run that or even more.
is not that he runs 7 miles per day!!
its that it only takes him 25 steps to do it!!
thats what is impressive!!!!Comment

first of all for you idiots that never trained in boxing or trained WITH real boxers here's the truth:
most pro boxers run 3-5 miles a day at the MOST. Tyson ran maybe 5 give or take. Most pro boxers usually do even less sometimes about 3. A pro boxer running 7 a day is a lot. Not unheard of, I'm sure there were others and the age old thing about Tito always gets brought up that he supposedly ran 10-12 (I doubt every day but don't know for sure).
Either way for an average boxer 7 is a lot.
I remember a thread where this was brought up and someone said "that's ***** **** I run 8 miles a day to keep in shape" well duh ****head, boxers run 3-5 just as a warmup THEN they do a full time 8-10 hour per day training so it's not like road work is their main workout course.
You try running even 3 miles a day only to go back into the gym for 8-10 brutal hours of calisthenics, sparring, bagwork, etc.Comment
