    3. Your an idiot

dude is right he only fought a couple of good fighters most being past their prime:
1.Eubank was way past his prime so was RJJ and he didnt prove anything against B-Hop because it was close.
2.Lacy was quite overrated and so was Kessler they both hadn't fought anyone with a name.
3.I give him cred for not runnin with the style he had but I didnt like that he slapped and didnt get in trouble for it and that he retired too early and that he actually believed he was a great champion and people actually believed he was when he ducked and never fought true champions like Dawson, Pavlik, Taylor, & Abraham; if he would have beat at least two of the four mentioned then I would give him credit.
4.If he would have stayed I believ he would have fought other "Old and or Past Prime Fighters" like Winky, Tarver, & Woods and would've ducked Glen Johnson

I think Calzaghe was his best a few years before the Kessler fight but he wasn't fighting ANYONE equal to his skill.....hell he never has, the only fighter in my opinion equal to his abbilities is Chad Dawson........Dawson aint on Calzaghe's level but thats kuz he hasn't had the opportunity

So the question is...When was Calzaghe in his prime? What point of his career do you think he was at his best?

Its hard for me to say as every fight ive seen him in he still seemed like he was boxing so well he never got out of his prime...but he obviously had to..

One of the funniest GIFs I've ever seen. Looks like Joe Slaps doesn't know where he is after getting clocked.

no he always was a decision fighter. he has no power. virtually all of his stoppages before and after the phantom hand injury were terrible. you would notice if you actually watch his early fights he fights exactly the same. can someone please name some fights where he demonstrated great power against real opponents? he hits guys flush and nothing happens. i'll give him mger mtchkian(can) and mario veit(supercan) 1 as legit stoppages. any other fights? nope. sven ottke had more power. he laid mundine out for the count.

Hmmm...But theres always going to be fresh names...he beats B-Hop...OK well he will not beat .. So and so.

Boxings always gonna be like that, but if hes at his best years before...why should he continue fighting even after hes fought moved up a weight and defended that belt.

Well its hard for me to expect someone being serious about an insult when they came onto a thread and said something completely irrelevant, at least answer my question if your going to say something on the thread. By the way its called Banter...joking around.

he pulled straight back and was off balance. a jab would have put him down. power is not defined by knocking someone over when they are off balance. he wasn't hurt at all. not to mention he was shot.
