Schooled? He simply outpointed him in a competitive fight.

Thats why you are not scoring fights for a living.

        I respect Hopkins.

I'm mocking the poster dde91, who says Roy is overrated and ducked Hopkins a rematch on numerous occasions.

        No one likes a ****head.

I guess so, neither are you. How can Hopkins have won that second fight? He didn't start doing anything until about round 6 or 7.

Hopkins shouldn't get credit for beating smaller fighters due to his age. Look what happened when he faced a great boxer his size, he lost.

His losses to Taylor and Joe C are officially marks agaisnt him, but they are so heavily disputed nobody really counts em. Bhop has proven himself as an ageless great.

Tito was not much smaller than hopkins. he was a big WW and filled in to MW comfortably

oscar didnt look that hot at MW and was pretty small yea, but hopkins still beat his ass and was the first man to stop him

no one wanted a piece of winky when hop fought him, and winky came up from a weight class where hopkins had recently spent 99% of his career

tarver was the man at 175 and was bigger than hopkins, hopkins schooled and dropped him

kelly was a big 160 and was in his prime when hop fought him, having won 2 bouts against taylor. hopkins utterly owned and embarassed kelly at age 43

the taylor decisions were both wins for hop IMO, and the calzaghe decision was debatable

so in short, you dont know what you are talking about

Tarver was the true, lineal Champion at 175 when Hopkins moved up and schooled him at the age of 41.

The only man to ever stop Glenn Johnson.

Knocked out Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya.

Schooled Kelly Pavlik and embarassed him at 170, just 4lbs north of the 166 catchweight where Kelly beat Jermain in the rematch.

Has never really been "beaten" since losing to Jones back in the early 90's.

Had a very close fight with Joe Calzaghe that a lot of people felt he won, at the age of 43.

His run in his 40's alone is the stuff of a Legend.

Nobody goes 3-1 against competition like Tarver, Winky, Calzaghe, and Kelly between the ages of 41-44. It's unheard of.
and....He lost his very first pro debut fight in a Majority decision. comes all the way back from that lost with a lost to Jones early on. Comes of a lost to Jones and Like bringer said above^^^^^^. The first Lost to Jermaine was by a close split decision!!! by 2 points all the way across the score cards on the 2nd time. also a SPLIT DECISION lost to the Slapper....at age 43. lol I just wanted to add to yours bring....Not to mention the guy who made this thread needs to retire. You've missed out on a lot....
