winky would be a great fight for both angulo & kirkland. Winky doesnt really have any mega fights @ 154 or 160. Can he land a fight vs pavlik or abraham? would they even want to?

I think we need Williams to go after Abraham, Strum and Pavlik. Those are great fights. Kirkland and Angulo are still learning, ffs leave those boys alone.

get your ass overseas and take Sturm's belt Winky. I really hope he can get anotha title shot before he goes out. And after the Pwill loss I can see him gettin a Sturm fight way before he'd ever get AA or Pavlik.

Yup, getting a belt from some of these paper champs should be no problem for winky.

Winky will have to be more realistic with his money demands if he wants to continue. Unless he wants to travel to Germany, he won't be getting any title fights until he gets a decent win.

I think Winky should come back. He looked in good shape and maybe the layoff added some more fights on his aging body. Williams is just a specimen. I for one would like to see him do two things:

1. Give Carlos Quintana a tril
2. Stay at MW, he just doesn't belong with those guys, in my eyes he only hurts himself by fighting guys physically outmatched against him. I do wonder though if he has the power to hang there in MW. There were times I thought he should have put Winky down for the count

Give Quintana a trilogy? He blasted him out in one round and just beat a bonafied future Hall of Famer. WHY would he want to fight Quintana's bum ass again?

I thought Wright would school him as well. Margarito hurt and rocked Paul a couple of times because he was willing to walk through shots to land his own. Most fighters are not willing to do that and end up being overwhelmed by fighters like Williams and Margarito. Merchant is right in that pressure from a big lanky fighter is different than from a short stocky one.

When Williams goes up against someone with great power like AA or Pavlik he may be in trouble if he throws that many shots leaving himself wide open to counters.

No, Margarito hurt Williams cause A. Williams had bruised ribs from sparring and B. that plaster in his wraps had gotten hard in the later rounds when the damage was done. Dont even invoke Margacheato's name around here.
