    aye, it was a real dumb move. you certainly dont learn to throw ******ed flying knees in boxing. wasnt really a domination though, but all the same...Ive seen sparring sessions of Arlovski getting schooled by Fres Oquendo and some other guy Ive never heard of before.

    I dont mean to sound insulting, so dont take it that way, but I dont really care about a random fun fact.

    I enjoy these types of discussions, so please address the points Ive brought up, if youre up to it.

      Bottom line is this.

      MMA fighters, Kickboxers, Muay Thai fighters, Wrestlers, JJ guys etc have all swapped fighters in these combat sports. They have all booked succes plenty of times when kickboxers went into mma, mmaers into K1, wrestlers in mma, muay thai in k1 etc etc.

      But in Boxing this would NEVER EVER happen. Boxing is the most evolved and scientific combat sport there is. You can only be fighting at a top level if you have been doing it for many years. Only a select few extremely gifted ones became succesfull after starting late. But usually a top Boxer has been doing it since childhood.

      But MMA and Kickboxing are simply not as skilled and evolved as Boxing.

      And there are no excuses as to why there has never been a diffirent martial artist becoming succesfull in the sport of Boxing. Boxers make more money than any other combat sport, so you can bet your sweet wifes ******* that a ****load of them would love to get into boxing and become millionares. But it will never happen.

      This is why Boxing rules all. All hail the supremacy.

              i mean if you look at some of the kick boxers today they have a decent boxing background that would help. a boxers not used to being kicked in the legs.

              i box and in the gym there is kickboxers/mma fighters and the boxers would not sparr with them its like meeting some one on the street with a nife just more tools
              you're absolutely wrong because boxers have proved time and time again that they destryo kickboxers in official matches. you're a ****** you just got owned in this thread adn you should leave.

                Kicking=wasted energy imo

                you have to get off balance to get it off...and theyre so easy to block...

                you can throw 5 kicks or 10 hooks both require the same energy but which will KO you

                HOOKS!!!

                    kicking requires much more distance than punching. Most of these mma guys kick to the head trying to put the guy out but that is really risky against a guy who can slip in and tag you with a 3 punch combo to the face while you are performing a single kick move- plus, you would be off-balance after getting tagged by the first punch.

                    Kicking to the legs would be more effective against a boxer but at the same time, the boxer can get in close and pound away at the other guy's gut cutting off any room for the mma guy to execute any moves at all. If the kickboxer has no boxing skills he will get smoked by someone with fast hands on the inside. Boxers have better balance as well.
