Woah, as long as he doesn't go above 140 I'm happy. Whatever happens he can't go above that weight, especially to fight Mayweather. That would be no different than moving up and taking on one of the top WW's, something which I don't think any guy that small would be foolish enough to do.

Morales? Nah, pointless fight. I can understand that he would want to simply because he always wanted to fight those guys for so many years previously, but they never gave him the chance, so maybe he sees it as him giving them the chance now. Hopefully it doesn't happen though.

A fight with Valero could be good to fill in time until winner of Hatton/Pac is free. I can't really think of anyone else.

JMM may be too small but if you are going too make excuses for JMM being to small to discredit May, don't expect him too face Cotto, Margarito etc

Bradley, Hatton, Pacquiao is who Floyd should fight

you are ryt! Oscar-Manny has more glaring disparity in size. Now both JMM and Floyd can man up and do the tango....JMM must not go above 140 if he trully wants the fyt. I personally think that Floyd will still anihilate him but at least he has a slim chance of pulling it off at 140. "Be careful of what u wish for, it myt just come true."

        Whadya say JMM fans.....

to beat all the fighters at 147. Who knows what's in the head of

that I don't believe he is scared of them guys but I think he is looking
for the most $ and best opportunities to keep him on top.

Fighting at 140 is already a big advantage for Floyd, I believe, he just testing if he still have the bargaining power before he went on self-exile. It's a rare opportunity for someone of JMM's status (#2 P4P), to be handed to him on a silver platter. Juan Manuel Marquez is a name big enough to bring Li'l Floyd decent money, a good tune-up, and decent enough to earn some respect from the boxing pundits (although I doubt Floyd cares what they say about him), if that's what he's looking for in a first place...

At 140 floyd would annihilate pac, hatton, bradley and jmm. But he just doesn't want to take any risks. He's got no balls.
All im saying is that is the biggest fight out there. and if Pac saif 135 I bet floyd would do it
We all know it would never happen there but this is just another way of showing Floyds excuses
Yeah JMM is a tune up for floyd but he is gonna have to fight Pac no more than 143 so why not start there?
good observation there, i agree!
but for jmm's sake, he should cut clean at 140 lbs. manny can afford to fyt floyd at 143 coz he has become bigger in mass than juanma.

How much does JMM weigh by fight-time?

How about we stop with the bull**** weigh-ins that don't mean a thing since how many come in by fight-time at that weight?

Let's just concern us with their fight-time weight.

If you want to beat someone, beat the MAN, not the weight. This is why Heavyweights Rule.

140lbs is what he weighed against Juan Diaz on fight night.

Everything has already been said here, both legitimate reasoning and pure fanboyism, as usual. I'm also of the opinion that 140 is bad enough as it is for Marquez, 147 is just ridiculous.

Not me. Floyd is a legit WW because he can actually weigh-in and fight at 147 by the time the actual fight starts. Not sure with the rest of the crew.

What weight is a WW? 147
