It's tough to say because Williams just has that size that can cause problems for Cotto. Williams hasn't faced a fighter with both speed and power so it's tough to call between these two because as I can see Cotto beating Pauly, i can also see Williams beating Cotto.

but I think Williams is going to stay at the higher weights and make a name for himself there. His body fills nicely (pause) for 160 and still seems very active. My only thing with him is I'm not sure how hard he really punches (at any weight) against the top guys.

He's shown to have a pretty decent beard, but I also think he needs to face a real puncher at 154-160.

I do believe he doesn't punch as hard as his body frame may make you believe, but his activity is what is his weapon. You gotta go to the body on Williams which Winky was actually doing when he was on the inside. Williams slowed down a bit during the 9th and 10th but was still able to stay active.

I give a lot of credit to Williams, but again Im just not sold on him being a huge puncher.

that's why imo he will never be an elite fighter. not enough punching power.whta do you think will happen when he actually fight somebody of his same height and reach with power?

It doesn't really matter if you are that much of a puncher or not when you throw 100+ per round and have a pretty decent land % rate. He overwhelms his opponents and hurts them in the process, also despite his size he can really nag to the body really good. The only thing I see is that might come off as him not being a big puncher is that he doesn't sit on his punches sometimes, he fights on the move and doesn't really put that extra mustard on his shots. I'm telling you, this dude is the black version of Margarito with a much better foot work, speed and size.

Hence why I'm eager to see a fight with him and Pavlik. It's a test for both guys and a fight I can see either winning, but Pavlik maybe taking the shots better than Williams (who we have yet to see take a punch from a legit 160).
