Probably to try to validate his points as to why Joe is the better fighter and person. Most of his listeners probably have not seen the fights.

Stern is going to suck up to whoever he has on the show. If Ali was on his show, Stern would have insulted Frazier.

        No, he wouldn't have.

Stern can be a biased ******* at times, but he's been a Frazier fan ever since I can remember listening to him.

I just didn't know he was that hardcore with it.

It's clear that Stern is not too familiar with the psychology of the sport. It's foolish to call Ali a racist towards darker skinned persons. Ali, no matter how you look at it, is a black person who was proud of who he was. If Stern said that Ali was a bit paranoid and at times believed that every white person was against him, then that argument would hold some water, but to call him racist against darker people does not make sense. Ali was a master at talking trash to get opponents so mad they would lose their focus and make mistakes which he could take advantage of. I see that Stern is half serious, half joking, but I think he made some rude and ignorant comments about a man whose beliefs he can not understand. It's also very lame of him, joke or not, to say that he would kick Ali's ass right now. That's brave to say considering Ali's condition nowadays. I wonder if he would say the same thing about Foreman.

That argumant holds no water. Ali had a white trainer(Dundee) and white Doctor(Pacheco) in his corner for his entire career and I get sick of people making that ignorant accusation. And if Ali was paranoid during that era he had every right to be.

Why is he talking **** about Ali? Ali did a lot of great things outside the ring, but he was an ******* to Frazier. Regardless, it's no reason for a bum piece of **** like Stern to run his mouth.

Have you ever seen an in depth Ali documentary? He, even though he had white people around him, said that white was the enemy. Whether it's contradictory or not remains irrelevant. Go and look for it before being ignorant yourself. I like it how some try to pick bits here and there and try to twist the initial argument. If anyone was defending Ali's belief it was me so go and look for the facts before trying to be a wiseguy.
