Fury Pounds Ellis, Froch-Taylor Undercard is Next

UK heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (5-0, 5KOs) blew away the much smaller Matthew Ellis (20-7-1, 9KOs) in only 48-seconds of the first round at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London. Fury came out with a Fury, barely breaking a sweat as Ellis his the deck within a blink of an eye. [details]

Hm, "the much smaller Matthew Ellis..." that's a key point right there, I don't think that he will come through against someone that is 6'6 or taller. Still, I will always watch his fights, expecting to see the first self-KO in history.

How many fighters are 6 foot 6 or taller?

I could say the same things about Valuev, or the klitschko brothers, in fact I do say that all the time.

Well considering that Ellis has lost 4 of his last 8 fights by TKO, is under 6 ft, and only weighed in at 203 for this fight, not really sure if this win has any significance. Though given it was Fury's 5th pro fight, and he's only 20, which is still a baby for a guy his size, who knows? Maybe someday he'll me more than just some big awkward white dude to laugh at.
