he trained a prime erik morales, prime vargas, decima, and also worked as a part of Pavliks corner. He was international hall of fame trainer of the year in 1999. The man is respected in the boxing community. Saying that Cotto shouldv chose another trainer. Someone who can teach him new things

Cotto respect the **** out of diaz....not only that if you realize in cotto's fights diaz gives him instructions.
yes and he seems to always give him good directions. But the true test is what can he get out of him during camp. Cotto will have to want this one and I think that moving to FL will help him focus.

Big Upgrade over evangelista. Should have done it sooner. He couldve had learned how to block a left uppercut by now. Same thing with shane mosley, should have gotten rid of papa jack a lot sooner. Look how good he looked w/ ****m in his corner. Cotto will be better b/c of diaz.

The way that is written, it seems like a one-fight deal to me. I still want to see "The Predator" in that corner at some point, he always works works hard on the only notable weakness that Cotto has, his defense.

I think Cotto will be fine. This isn't a bad choice.

Diaz has been working in Cotto's corner for some time now, it's not such a bad idea, Diaz knows Cotto...

I think Miguel Diaz is good but he also should consider Robert Alcazar... Alcazar is a good trainer he trained De La Hoya for most of his career and now he is training Valero... Alcazar has worked with Emanuel Steward, Gil Clancy, Cholain Rivero, Carlos Ortiz... so the guy now how to train.
