Miguel Cotto To Choose Miguel Diaz as Trainer?

Maybe they are keeping it in "the house" for now with somebody that knows Cotto. after the Clottey fight they may go elsewhere but I think it's a good choice. i would love to see either Naz or Floyd sr. in that corner but one trains Mosley and the other one is you know who's dad so there could be conflict.

he trained a prime erik morales, prime vargas,decima, and also worked as a part of Pavliks corner. He was international hall of fame trainer of the year in 1999. The man is respected in the boxing community. Saying that Cotto shouldv chose another trainer. Someone who can teach him new things

You see, I didnt know that, thanks for the info. So then he was the main trainer and chief second on their corners? I know he's well respected, I had the privilege of meeting him once and he's one funny and crazy mofo but I thought he was only a cutman and a third man. I know he has worked with Cotto and taught him new things, but from that to taking charge of his training are two different things.

Sr. wants to screw Jr. at this moment, Cotto may be his best opportunity to do it, he is an elite welter, probably the biggest real threat besides Sugar, I think its not that farfetched. He could take Miguel to a whole new level, who wouldn't want to see a post "Predator" Cotto?
