Casual fans barely know who Manny Pacquiao or Ricky Hatton is, and they are the two biggest active fighters in the sport (assuming DLH retires)! I think EA has been kind to give us hardcore boxing fans Kelly Pavlik and Victor Ortiz, but at the end of the day casual and former boxing fans (which is the majority of Fight Night's consumers), will want to play as Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali.
maybe the reason boxing is on the decline is because old boxing is forced on people more than recent boxing is how are people supposed to know the more recent fighters when boxing games are made of mostly old fighters and when espn mainly shows old ass fights,

Hearns IS in fight night 4. I'm pretty excited as he's one of my all time favorites.

Regarding Tommy Morrison, apparently he wasn't even being considered until Morrison's people contacted EA and asked or lobbied that he be put in the game. I guess EA said sure why not.

As far as holyfield, he definitely should be in the game. The full roster has not been released yet, so we still don't know if he's in it or not. And even if he's not, we don't know the details on why is not in the game, remember EA has a budget to work with and some fighters demand a lot of money to be in games, so that must be factored in.

The UFC game will have a **** load more fighters for example because all of the fighters have contracts with UFC, so Dana White can have each and every fighter in the game if he pleases. boxing is much more complicated once you factor in all the different promoters, managers, contracts, etc.
