Obviously you didn't see the fight. Extremely quick amateur rules stoppage of a young, immature Tua. If Lennox Lewis and Ike Ibeabuchi couldn't get him out of there in 12 rounds each, Tyson isn't going to either.

What I saw was Tua getting hit resulting in him going down and then stumbling like he had just drank a forty of captain morgans.
Saying that because Lennox Lewis couldn't knock him out so there for Tyson couldn't is ridiculous. Lennox Lewis didn't need the KO, being an out fighter he jabbed his way to an easy win. Mike Tyson wouldn't have done this, he would have thrown a barrage of fast punches that with put Tua on the canvas in 4.

Whats funny is that in New Zealand they still think Tua won some sort of "Moral Victory" against Lewis and that tua gave lewis hell for 12 rounds and was robbed. Kiwis ae so ****ing ******.

i mean just because tua was a teenager fighting in his first international competition against a grown man who has been fighting on the world stage for years don't mean anything.

Exactly, and I'm sorry but Sonny Liston, George Foreman, David Tua and Ike Ibeabuchi give Tyson tougher fights than he ever had in his career. Tyson has a decent chance of winning a decision against Tua by being quicker, better combinations and have a better jab. But he's not getting him out of there and stands a damn good chance of getting stopped himself. And people say Tyson's not overrated, just check out the poll.

Not the way I remember it. Anyway Mike Tyson had two amateur losses to Henry Tillman. I wonder how much they meant, since Tyson blew him out of there in 1 in the pros?

Ever hear that Calzaghe stopped Chris Byrd in the AMs? Think that means he beats him in the pros?

Anyway as has been said, Savon was a legend, who would've given Tyson hell himself, especially a young, inexperienced teenage version.

My point was refering to the statement that no one can knock out Tua. Being that he was knocked out, regardless of his age (18 really isn't that young) he obviously can go down and isn't as industructable as some people seem to think.

i don't know if even the 220 lb. tua could have beat lennox. lennox was too good but......i would have liked to see that tua show up......

Rahman's power is overated because of his ko over Lewis. He's got a powerfull right hand but let's not go overboard. Buster knocked down guys with his jab. Oliver Mccal who had steel plates in his jaw said that the hardest he ever been hit was by douglas. As i remember he said it felt like getting hit by a bus.

What gives you an idea that Maskaev punches harder than Douglas? Good power, sure, but i dont see it.
