Yeah he wasn't that great to begin with, and that beating he took from Calzaghe didn't help.. and after that injury he just doesn't seem to have the power he used to.

i think the rotator cuff injury and the beating he has taken are taking their toll.

After the hiding he took from Calzaghe (taking a rare shot from Jones that actually makes him look muscle bound!) Who can blame him.. Still has the best chin out there though..

Yeah after watching him fight, it didn't seem clear he was world class material, maybe he's still green..

You don't win 'even' an alphabelt by being 'garbage'. Lacy just wasn't the 'next Tyson' the American press (and it was was the American press who came up with that) were hoping he would be on the back of a resume that wasn't really that impressive. The Calzaghe fight totally destroyed his confidence, not so much because Lacy was beaten as by the realization he simply really was nowhere near as good as he and his 'people' thought he was.

That said, before writing him off, remember Lacy has still only actually lost twice, to Calzaghe and Taylor.. no losses to 'journeymen', there. And neither could stop him.
