Your comment is akin to asking

"What will Muhammed Ali tell his kids about Leon Spinks and Trever Berbick" back when he retired.

      Get a grip morons.
Get a sense of humor you over sensitive crybaby.

And Ali wasn't dominating p4p ranked Champions like Pavlik during his final years. ****** analogy. lol at Holmes getting a free pass though, Norton and Shavers weren't active spring chickens either.

And of course Calzaghe will be remembered as his critics can't stop bringing him up.

        "Joe Louis?"

        "no"

        "Joe Gans?

        "no"
Joe Calzaghe isn't even in the top 3 of fighters named Joe.

Seems like you were the one flying off the handle. So wait was it a joke (and bad one- hence your lame humor comment) or was it a serious comment? Guess you'll just suit your answer to whatever is convenient.

Roy is horridly past his prime (since 03 in fact) and Pavlik was a style matchup. Bernard is still old, I've said this since the Taylor fight. Before Joe decided to invade the old folks home for his "legacy"

            • I would say he was one of the most naturally gifted fighters of his era. I would also say he had good potential to be an all time great, but took the easy road too many times and left some question marks overall.

Overall a very solid and skilled fighter for his era, but could have done more.

                1. Yes, the post was obviously tongue in cheek. Clearly, I'm poking fun at Calzaghe critics but the tone was very ironic. It was not serious boxing analysis.

                2. We discussed Roy Jones before and you didn't have an answer for any of my points. Why should I bother going over all this with you again?

                3. I'm not sure anybody who doesn't fight like Pavlik is going to have an easy time with Hopkins. Styles make fights but there is a talent and ability variable that should be considered. For instance, fighters like Bika and Hopkins were bad style matches up for Calzaghe but he still toughed out wins against them. Hopkins is simply better than Pavlik and still a very capable P4P competitor.

calzaghe lost to them cause they are better fighters than the lacy/manfredo can fest he's used to fighting. he was also too scared to fight pavlik and tried to trick everyone into believing roy jones wasn't shot. obviously no one believed him but the brainwashed joe fans.
