Will Hatton be a "bigger" opponent on fight night THAN Oscar?

In England we use "big" to cover a wide variety of meanings - height, weight, length, width etc. We don't specify what the exact measurement is, as it is implied.

Hatton, being from the UK, meant bigger in terms of weight. He knows full well, in terms of height, frame etc that he is not bigger.

There are differences in the way people from the UK and America use language. The difference in cultures is what causes this.

Nothing negative about either way, just differences. Nothing xenophobic going on here..

Some of you guys don't know the difference between size and weight. Hatton weighs more but is the smaller fighter. If you had two boxes one filled with lead another twice the size filled with polystyrene. Which one is bigger?

Because, like I said, coming from the UK to me, bigger can mean different things. I have already admitted in terms of height and frame, Oscar is bigger. In terms of weight, Hatton is bigger. Thats just the way we see things.

From your perspective Oscar is bigger. You are in fact probably correct, but Hatton is from the UK and so we fellow Brits know what he meant lol..

Measurements = Frame, dictate SIZE and how BIG someone is... not weight...

I gaurantee you Oscar has Hatton beat in all the size measurements...

Oscar has a larger frame.

I hear what you're saying Reed but that doesn't change the fact that we interpret the word 'big' in reference to someones build differently to you lot.

I think you lot, (i.e Reed and mr Miami Rizo) have gotten the wrong end of the stick IMO with a capital IMO.

Hatton will be BIGGER and STRONGER then Pacman.

And Hatton will also be the hardest hitter Pacman has ever faced at a weight class Pacs never seen or been hit at.
