Neither...he was a freak of nature. No disrespect to Mike.

But there was hardly anyone in the 80s-90s to test his skill; and he didn't last long enough in the game to gain the status of "great."

I'm so down to watch the Tyson Documentary today.

They were pretty talented boxers for their time. So do people harshly criticize Tyson for his behavior outside the ring (the **** case, his numerous run-ins with the law, his temper and his volatile marriage with Robin Givens) and let it cloud their judgment of Tyson the man inside the ring?

      Your turn to talk.
It's hilarious to see guys who calls today's division complete garbage hyping guys like Tony Tucker and "Bonecrusher" Smith. That said, I usually have Tyson near the bottom of my top 10 ATG HW list.

In his prime he beat and destroyed the best fighters around which is all a champion can do and he had such a big impact on the sport so IMO he's definitely an ATG.

So you think Mike Tyson knocked out Mitch "Blood" Green?

So, I guess that automatically makes Vitali an ATG. And which best fighters? Holmes and Spinks?

ATG but very over rated. He's such a big name to the public that most just assume he and Ali were simply the best ever, and un stoppable.

I'm not a fan of fairy tales I'm afraid. Definite ATG though.

I wasn't hyping up those guys. They were some of Mike's biggest wins.

What can i do about that?!?

Maybe I misunderstood "they were pretty talented boxers." Anyway Tyson didn't fight in the strongest of era's (until later when he was past his best,) but he did usually dominate his opponents and gave us some exciting fights and highlights.

Holmes was still a good fighter, no where near his best for sure, and Spinks was another good fighter, unbeaten and in his prime who got anihilated by Mike.

                      You must of!

Pretty talented boxers and hyping fighters don't go hand in hand. Tucker and Smith were not bums by any means. They were 'Pretty talented' fighters.
