But Douglas showed up amazing that night and with the mentality to take it to Tyson. This fight is a Toss up...IMO

It's because the way guys like Pacquiao, Tyson, Valero, or any other "punchers" win is more impressive. So when they are favored, you automatically assume the underdog will get "killed". Against those type of fighters, all you have to do is clinch them to take away their offense. That's how Holyfield beat Tyson so easily. That's how Hopkins limited Calzaghe's output and beat him (IMO), and I expect that is how Hatton will take away Pac's left hand. He will smother it and explode on the inside at every opening. Pacquiao will never get set the entire fight and his speed will be useless because he will never get a chance to punch. Expect Roach to start complaining by round 4 that Hatton is holding too much and spoiling his gameplan against Hatton.

If Hatton can't clinch Pacquiao, if for some reason he's too elusive for his ability (I seriously doubt it, he was able to with Mayweather), then it will look a lot like Calzaghe vs Lacy instead of Calzaghe vs Hopkins.

Hatton should win by a 7th round TKO

Maybe it's because I think Hatton is OVERRATED but seriously if Juan Lazcano can almost KO Hatton (shoelace ref save) how will he deal with a fast, accurate prime Pac-Man. Pac will keep Ricky turning all night getting off combos and then moving. I'd say by round 8 or 9 Hatton's face will look shreded and the fight will be waived off by the corner or ref!

Let me ask you this - has Pac ever NOT been hit in a fight? He is not as elusive as the likes of Mayweather, and does get hit, even against a weight drained Oscar he was hit in the earlier rounds and IMO hurt to the body at one point. Hatton will hit Pac in this fight and will carry a heavier punch than, Marquez, David Diaz, anorexic Oscar and those smaller guys who have rocked and even knocked down Pac. Should Hatton land a solid shot, it WILL affect Pac and IMO will shake his confidence and affect his performance.

Lazcano did not almost KO Hatton. This is a ridiculous myth created by knuckleheads on the internet. Juan caught Ricky with a decent left hook that disorganised him and that is all. Go and watch the footage again.During ''the shoelass ref save'' Lazcano was stumbling around the ring like a drunk and looked like he was about to fall face first to the canvas so how he was going to knock down let alone KO Ricky is behond me. At the restart Ricky then proccedded to continue to beat him all around the ring as he had done for 12 rounds.

A Myth created huh? HAHAHAHA...Ya ok. Who has hatton beat that has you confident he can take Pac-Man Malignnagi? Lazcano? a shot Castillo and Tzyou? PLEASE Hatton is BY FAR 1 of the most overrated fighters of this generation. Lazcano had him in trouble,Collazo got robbed and May toyed with him then KO'd em.

Yes Pac can get hit by fighters with boxing skills not someone with no jab who rushes in naked and just hits off the break. Pac's speed will be the diffference just watch!

Hatton has a good jab which he opted not to use in past fights. Mayweather Snr has been teaching him for the past 6-7 weeks to use his jab, move his head on the way in, use better footwork etc. It will NOT be the same Hatton who turned up against PBF - if it was, I would be the first to admit Hatton wouldn't stand much chance against Pac. But Mayweather Snr is having a positive effect on Ricky, it was evident against Malignaggi and will be even more evident against Manny..
