So if he is as dumb as a bag of rocks but still knows what goes on with his hand wraps then what does that make Margarito? I mean, the only way people will believe that he didn't know is if they really want to believe it. it's like having brass knuckles on in a fight but yet acting like you don't know that your using them? I would think if you've been fighting all your life that you would know your limits power wise and feel the difference in
your punches right? Whenever you hit something you should be able to feel the hard pads in the wraps right? I mean I never boxed so not sure how it goes with the hand wraps but I would think a person would feel the difference if a substance got hard as plaster on your knuckles?

This plaster like substance was supposedly stuffed on top of his Knuckles underneeth the wraps. If it supposedly would've hardened the way they said it would then he would've just smashed the **** ouit of his own Knucks. What would be the poiont in that. It took them 2 months and whole **** load of forensic tests to come to the conclusion that it could've hardened. If it has'nt hardened in 2 months it was never going to. The only way it would harden is if it got wet and then dries again.

You are also basing your opinion on assumption that he did that against Cotto, you got no proof of that son.

True that the media is known for cover ups and only giving info they feel is appropriate for us to know at times but.......The reason I believe Margarito DID try to cheat for Mosley, because ****m Richardson caught them. I have my su****ions that Margarito could have cheated in his prior fights with Cotto, Cintron & Williams but that we will NEVER know, only if HE or Capetillo confesses (Which they won't), so everything is just assumptions and/or opinions.

All in all what made me feel Margarito is guilty is that when they first got caught Margarito said that the substance was just extra gauge from his wraps but then as the heat turned up, he said that he didn't know that his trainer was wrapping his hands with it? I don't believe him at all.

Capetillo has too much respect for Margarito to cheat without Margarito knowing. That would be a total opposite of what they expressed as a father and son relationship prior to a trainer/boxer relationship. He's guilty & is trying to dodge the bullet by talking about him fighting Cotto/Mosley again & trying to get Freddie Roach in the loop (A respected trainer to have his back) To much BS on the behalf of Antonio Margarito.

You have a point. Margarito and his camp did handle the whole controversy horribly. And when someone lies- credibility is hurt. There's no doubt that there is su****ion and suspect of Margarito's prior fights. That's why an investigation should be conducted to clear up this whole mess.

Honestly I think they did this as a desperation move, I think Capetillo probably had doubts in Tony and thought that Mosley might be too much for him, Tony was having trouble making weight during the training camp and probably still needed more time to recoup from the Cotto fight were he ate a lot of hard punches.

Capetillo possibly coaxed Tony into wearing the wraps telling him it was not a big deal, it would just be a lil' more oomph to his punches, and Margarito being the ignorant person that he is trusted Capetillo since he is like a father to him.

Margarito said on that ESPN interview that Capetillo told him that "the wraps are fine, don't you worry about that" so he probably just went along with it, thinking it wasn't such a big deal, still not a right thing to do because he was trying to cheat. Again this is just my opinion.
