Miguel Cotto, Evangelista Could Face Criminal Charges

The fight will go forward... too much money and clottey has a contract. This just adds to the another plot to the fight. People that want to see Cotto on his ass now have antoher reason why to feel optimistic. Those that are rooting for Cotto (I include myself) are now wondering what will be the impact of these event.

Police should stay out of it, if somebody need to do something will be Cotto or his uncle to press charges, they didn't hurt anybody but themselves.
PR police should be looking for drugs dealer and thieves, we have plenty in PR.

Just finish reading the articles on the 3 biggest newspaper in PR (El Nuevo Dia, Primera Hora, Vocero) and as expected, each on of them have a different account. In a nut shell, there are the three version as per the eyewitnesses:

1- Evangelista tells Cotto that he should take the training seriously, this pisses Cotto and he adds his 28th KO in fron of everyone.... as per his version he hits evangelisto and KOs him.
2- Cotto informs Evangelisto of his plans to go to Florida for training camp and he gets pissed off telling Cotto that he has others fighters and can't leave them. Cotto tells his uncle that if that he is the boss and Evangelisto jumps Cotto at that moment.
3- Cotto tells evagelisto that he is heading to Florida and that he is fired. At this point they start insulting each other... and it's unclear who swong the first punch.

On each account, it's agree that when cotto left the gym, his uncle followed him to his apartment and the fight escalated to the point of evangelisto sending a rock/cement block his way only missing him and chattering his car window.

I will take a couple of days to have a final version.

I don't know about the Drugs... if you could forward a link from an article or report, please do share it with all of us... and cheating is more common that you make it seem... hell statistics show that 70% of us have acknowledge cheating in the past... the other 30% are still in denial. My point is that cheating is not a valid inpediment.

With passing judgment on Cotto's character.... i see no reason why to halt the combat. He is still champion and it's going to have to deal with the result of his actions.
