It says a lot about the kind of fighter Amir is!
He doesn't have to fight ANYONE near as dangerous as Kotelink, he doesn't have to fight world title level fighters yet.
He wants to though and it says a lot for him.Comment

I really dont understand why people FROM the UK are moaning, This is a decent fight and Andrea is still the favourite going into this fight, People are making it look like he just cherry picked an easy opponent but he doesnt control his own career FRANK WARREN does.
And like Ricky Hatton found out by fighting bum his whole career on the WBU while ducking anyone with a pulse he could do F**k all about it because when you're under warren then you're f**Ked.Comment

I don't think it's that bad tbh . You know Khan gets alot of stick for his opponents , Gomez , MAB etc. The way I see this one is even tho labbeled the worst world champ off Khan there's not really many excuses because he's still the WBA champ and dangerous because he's never been stopped plus he's made 2 defences of his WBA belt . I know fair enough it's the easiest route to a title and some people probably think he doesn't deserve a shot but at the end of the day that's what they say boxing's a business .Last edited by alza1988; 04-09-2009, 04:05 PM.Comment

Oh, yeah, the name of the game is getting a title shot above all, but when you do it by jumping out of your own division (lightweight) to find easier pickings elsewhere, it seems as if you’re trying to pull one over on the boxing public....................what do you guys think ????
The guy can't win. Sure, there are tougher opponents in both divisions, but if he tried to get them you would just have the usual chorus about how he needs to defeat half-a-dozen top ten fighters, not to mention rematching half of them, just to earn his 'shot'. Warren got him a good fight, and that's what the game is all about. Up to Khan to see what he does with the opportunity.Comment

I’m finding it hard to see Amir Khan’s (20-1, 15 KOs) choice of WBC light welterweight champion Andriy Kotelnik (31-2-1, 13 KOs) as his next opponent in a favorable light.
