It's ****** as ****, but you gotta warn somebody before you get in a street fight if you're a fighter. We actually learned about this **** in business law class in college. If you're bein provoked and you feel a fight comin on, you seriously have to tell a motha****a, 'I'm warnin you, I got x amount of yrs as a trained boxer/wrestler/blackbelt/ etc', or however you choose to word it. And of course it helps that there's a witness there to back up the fact that you actually warned em before the fight started. And you can never throw the 1st blow either. You gotta be provoked physically and warn somebody before you swing on em if you got physical combat trainin of any kind. Otherwise it's assault wit a deadly weapon basically.

                is this true?

i mean, it's pretty obvious a pro boxer would own Joe Fudgepack in a streetbrawl but i dont know about it being technically "illegal".

                Any info?????
I'll put it this way. As a martial artist/boxer, technically it would be bad form and rude for me to pick fights in the streets because i'm a trained fighter.

As for my hands being considered "registered weapons," that's a bunch of malarky. If you really wanted to go through the whole trouble of that nonsense, then you CAN register them if you really wanted to. But you aren't required to.

In California, assault, aggravated assault, battery and all that bull***** has stiff consequences. First of all, it's all about situations. If i'm in a situation and i have to defend myself, then that will be taken into account. But i can't pick fights over girls, alcohol, road rage or any other bull*****. Word on the streets is that in Cali there is no such thing as justified homicide for self defense.

So basically, if you get in a fight [Cali] and the cops come, you're going to get arrested, for fighting in public and disturbing the peace. However, when you have your arraingment and hearings and all that court *****, that's when they'll find out about your background as a fighter; plus all the lawsuit bull*****. Then you're in deeep *****, and depending on your circumstance you might have to have your training background recorded.

You'd think that the judicial system would be in favor for martial artists/boxers/fighters...nope it's the exact opposite. The rule of thumb is that the courts see trained fighters as potential harm against civilians, so they expect fighters to exhibit complete control and discipline at ALL TIMES.

It's all based situations and circumstances. They take different situations into account and all that stuff. Don't quote me on it, but that's bascially the gist of it. I'm sure there's other details involved.

                Does that help you?
