SOMEONE please clarify- I keep hearing stuff about it being illegal for a boxer

to get into a street fight and that their hands are considered weapons by the law.

    is this true?

i mean, it's pretty obvious a pro boxer would own Joe Fudgepack in a streetbrawl but i dont know about it being technically "illegal".

    Any info?????

          Different countries have different laws.
Pretty sure its illegal in the UK for a boxer to fight an unarmed man, if he's got a bottle or knuckle duster etc its fair game. not certain though.
In Australia its def. illegal for that, ive a mate got sent down, and he was an amateur. U dont have to be a pro, just have the training over there, and not just boxing any martial art too.

if you punch someone and they die, it's murder reguardless of training or otherwise.

if you punch someone in a controlled violent way it would obviously be considered more seriously by police than some random guy swinging from the hip

One would be considered in control of himself and therefore able to restrain himself from attacking period while the other would have heat of the moment red mist as mitigation.

I controlled attack is always perceived to be more serious than a none controlled attack. I.e murder 1 (controlled and premeditated) vs murder 3 (unbcotrolled and not intended).

Boxers have to register their hands while getting their Boxing licenses to fight professionally deeming it illegal to hit a civilian on the street. I believe most of the states here follow suit.

you can kill scotsmen legally in the UK if you use a longbow from the walls of the city of York.

                    true story.
