I don't understand why a Calzaghe fan would bash Roy. It basically discredits Calzaghe for even fighting him.

Not that it's not fact, but you're wording it to discredit him. You can't prove that he moved up from MW to avoid Gman. You can guess that but you can't prove that, that is the reason why. I actually agree that Roy is overrated a bit but it's silly to completely discredit him and call him a fraud. Like I said before, you could take any fighter's record and talk **** about it and make it look bad.

Its fact that he never fought ANY of these guys.

And Roy was? Roy didnt even get a title shot until he cut ties with his dad who made sure he didnt fight anyone to dangerous. If this guy is a fraud why would he try to secure a tite shot for himself.

Where do you get your facts from? Benn and Eubank both wanted him, Eubank stated less than a month ago that Roy wouldn't fight him. He wouldn't fight Steve Collins either.....All these guys must be liars though.

Oh and while youre at it, you might discover threads like these are being posted every month or so, with the starter being ridiculed

Just for the record I never mentioned Collins, frankly I dont even know why RJJ never fought DM. IMO that was still a winnable fight for him. I think its pathetic still bringing this up, people didnt seem to rant on Jones as much as they do now even though DM has lost to lesser opposition and Jones disposed of the same opponents more convincingly than DM did.

Fought a bum, lets not get away from the fact that Ruiz is garbage.....Lewis called him out and he ran back to 175. Lewis must be a liar like Eubank, Benn, Collins and DM though.

Youre saying the same thing over and over again . Lets compare shall we because as far as I can tell the last time Hearns fought a linear champ was about 17 years before he retired . If the matter of facing a linear champ weighs so heavy in you eyes how come you seem to respect Hearns despite him not doing so? TBH I never saw an even prime Jones beating Lennox Lewis, Jones was simply too small. I still respect Jones for winning a HW title though.

Great Opinion. Roy Jones fought C fighters and some D fighters his whole career. When he faced Hopkins, Hopkins was a C+ fighter.

Then when he beat these guys he was expected to kill *all those BUMS* he ran his mouth like he was hot ****, but THE REAL fans, not the nutthuggers, Know the truth. Were not blind.

Seriously, Roy has to be the most ridiculously overrated fighter in history! Lets take a look at what he's done.

When people thought of him as great on his run from MW to HW he never even beat a linear champion (top champ in the division) and he never once defended against his top rated contender. Roy is the ultimate paper champion, he is a fraud of the highest order.

At MW: Won a vacant strap against Bernard Hopkins. Made a couple of defences against nobodys then moved up when G-Man was a clear #1 contender to him.

At SMW: Fought a dead at the weight James Toney (Liles was the linear champ at the time) and won. Fought cops and postmen instead of fighting Eubank, Benn and Liles.

At LHW: Won a vacant title against Griffin (at the second time of asking) then went on to duck DM for a whole 5 years.

At HW: Fought Ruiz who wasn't even top 3 for a Don King manufactured strap, Got called out by Lewis then ran away back to 175.

The first time Roy fought a #1 contender was Antonio Tarver after moving down from HW and the only reason he took that fight was because Lewis called him out.

This guy is a fraud, he's the biggest fraud in boxing history who avoided all the top rated dangermen and took vacant titles and fought for the lesser straps.

Hearns gets respect because he tried to unify with Leonard, it should not be in question that Hearns went out of his way to fight the best....unlike Roy.

Are you serious? I'll just say this. We all know he is the most skilled fighter of all time right. Now take this who the **** could have beat roy in his prime? what ****in fighter exisisted in roys prime that could beat him? wtf is your problem? WHo? He got hit 7-9 times in his whole carrer.
