That was after 12 rounds of grueling boxing, they stop fights way earlier then they should for some fighters. As if frank warren pays pocket money to protect his fighters from getting an upset loss against some bum.

Every nation has bad referee decisions and bad judging from time to time, America has had a few big ones this year.

yeah, I remember Lacy vs Calzaghe as a prime example of how a fight was stopped early.

There was an American ref for Calzaghe-Lacy.

UK refs often let their home fighters foul, for example rabbit punch (Benn-McLellan, Haye's home fights), hit and hold, and hit their opponents when they're down (Haye-Fragomeni). But they call the slightest foul against foreign fighters.

Calzaghe has been helped by several early stoppages, notably Manfredo. Haye was allowed to finish the round when hurt by Mock, but Mock was a victim of an early stoppage in a later round.

But that being said, American refs are just as bad: Martinez-Cintron, John-Juarez, Cortez in Hatton-Mayweather and, worst of all, Cortez in Soto-Lorenzo.
