Arreola is Properly Motivated For The "Big Time" Challenge

By Brent Matteo Alderson - Last November I went up to Chris Arreola’s training camp in Big Bear California while he was training for his fight with Travis Walker and the Nightmare wasn’t as motivated as he should have been and commented, “Travis Walker doesn’t motivate me. I wanted to fight a big name, I’m tired of fighting prospects,” and the lack of drive was evident. [details]Comment

I hope McCline knocks this dope out, then maybe he'll learn about "professionalism" starting with approaching EVERY fight like you're "motivated" for it and putting the burritos with extra swine down.Comment

Bank all u want homie, but big flinch McCline is gonna pull his usual woulda shoulda coulda ****.You gotta remember this is the guy who was absolutly ****in' his shorts flinchin' at Klitchkos' jab!He let up when he had Peter all but out,Pathetic! He has a small heart for a very big man,and best believe Arreola is gonna rip that out of his chest.Comment

how much more motivation that this dude need;besides the seven figure paydays, and the fact that he might just be the first mexican heavyweight champion in history.if either of these two things dont factor into his equation, then i dont know what will.Comment

Out of shape? Poor Defense? Please show me one fight up to this point where Chris has shown poor stamina and poor defense?
Seriously I think some of you forget that this is boxing and not mail modeling or bodybuilding! Just because Chris doesn't look as "pretty" as other HW boxers doesn't mean he can't compete at the highest level.
Case and point kelly pavlik is tall, skinny, and has almost no muscle tone on him whatsoever. Compared to hard bodies like Arthur Abraham, and Felix Sturm he looks like goofy teenager yet he's the Middleweight champion of the world. Seriously you guys might want to rethink your observations.Comment

Sticking your gloves up is probably the lowest form of defense there is especially if you're NOT countering back or rolling with the shots. He fights anyone that knows how to go to the body that SOFT, pudgy looking body that you're in denial about of his will NOT hold up.
When this guy goes 10 rounds and finishes strong then talk to me about his stamina. Otherwise he's just a typical heavyweight, punch/shoot and hope you get'em out type of fighterLast edited by marzblkman; 04-08-2009, 07:45 PM.Comment

Arreola will struggle mightily in this fight, there is no doubt. He's just not hard to hit at all. McCline is a live heavyweight early on, he'll be laying into Arreola early. He's lucky that McCline is not a durable fighter, or else he'd have no chance.Comment
