watchin this fight..it just makes you realize how much power hatton really has....and people have been building up on pacs power....and kosta tzyu hit hatton good too....if pac took a shot from from that kosta tzyu...he goes down and doesnt get up

I dont mean to put down Hatton, but you have to remember Kostya always had trouble against pressure fighters. he really did. look at his bad loss to Vince Phillips, and even very early in his career he was really pushed by Hector Lopez.

and Kostya was faded a bit, even if he wasnt shot.

So there were a lot of things playing in Hatton's favor, and thats not even counting the ref.

regardless, we should give Hatton credit for the win. it was an exciting, hard fought, close fight.

the fact is that Pac does have good power but only when he comes forward...yet he loses that type of power when someone who backs him up. This is what makes this fight a 50-50 for me because both fighters like coming forward..yet who will want the most is the one who will win come may 2nd..

That was a fight fought wit high energy, but it was ugly as hell. Ref wasn't doin **** to break up the clinches.

I like Hatton alot, but him winning the fight with Tszyu had a lot to do with how the ref let him fight. Kostya just didnt have it in him to win that style of fight with someone so young and strong as Ricky. Not at that point in his career. If Ricky was allowed to fight that same way against Floyd I think he may have beaten him. Ricky was allowed to get away with murder against Tszyu.

Kosta took a beating because the fighters were allowed to fight (as opposed to dance around each other), the same beating Mayweather would've took if Cortez hadn't kept jumping in.

I agree it is a terrible fight to watch, like most of Hatton's fights are pretty hard to watch. Little skill just lots of wrestling.
