Only morons would say that Haye is a bum, as a first official Klitschko fan on this forum I always claimed Haye would be one of the names that will elevate Wlad to an all time great status.
David IS a good fighter, just very flawed and not stilistically suited for HW scene. In fact, I would go as far as to say that if Haye was a welter he would defo be the top 3 fighter or even better.

I actually agree with you, But beating Haye is not a ticket to the atg club, in fact that boat sailed about 4 years ago anyway. Ironically the only win that would maybe get him on the ass end of that list is Vitali.

I said "one of the names", Haye by himself ain't gonna get Wlad anywhere. But when Wlad's resume is judged and he is retired, no one will be able to say Wlad did not beat every possible quality fighter besides his brother.
If he beats everyone who matters, he is an atg.

My official prediction is KO for Wlad, but I have posted several times that Haye has a punchers' chance of 10-20%. However, I think he would have no chance against the sturdier Vitali this year.

More people actually want a Povetkin-Wlad fight I think, Sasha is very popular in the motherland, but since so few Russians post here, you would never think so.

Many Americans here are rooting for Haye because they have been influenced by the media into believing black fighters are more exciting (Atlas, Kellerman, The Ring writers, etc. seem to want a black heavyweight champion). The American media has been unfairly negative about the Klitschkos.

The many Brits here are rooting for Haye for the obvious reason - he fights out of the UK.

People are excited about this fight because Haye is young, healthy and a big puncher who definitely does have a punchers, chance against Wlad. They would be much less excited if it were Vitali, because intelligent boxing fans know what the outcome would be.

You know Joe Calzaghe? well he beat A good version of Hopkins, Eubank, Bika, Kessler and Lacy and capped it off by schooling a faded roy jones. He never lost a fight, even on a technicality, was ring champ, and a world champ at two weight classes, he was also world champion for over a decade.

Joe Calzaghe is NOT a top atg, he is an atg, but barely.

P4P the Klitshko brothers are no where near Calzaghe, but far far behind him in terms of achievements.

What is the klitschko equivilent to a win over Bernard Hopkins or Mikkel Kessler? Danny Williams?, Julius Francis?
