Fighters who have stood the test of time

As in they have been fighting in the pros for a long period of time, and still did well at the top level despite being old/shopworn.

Bernard Hopkins is an obvious one, seeing as hes 44 and still taking the youngins to school
Archie Moore as well, who was knocking out top light heavyweights like Yvon Durelle out at a similiar age.
Ill also throw in Roberto Duran, who was still able to a win over a top 5 rated Middleweight when he was 46 or something.

    any more?

Hopkins and Moore stand alone. Several others, mostly at heavyweight, managed into their late 30s (Walcott, Lewis), but those two are basically the only championship-level fighters well into their 40s.

True, completely slipped my mind for some reason, although circumstances did play well into his favor (getting that title shot at all, for example).

speaking of heavyweights, Ill give a shout out to Larry Holmes, Foreman and Evander Holyfield. Holyfield was robbed of a win over Valuev, who was top 5 at the time and Holyfield is about 46.
Holmes got a win over Mercer and gave Holyfield himself quite a fight in his middle 40s as well. not too bad.
and of course, you have to mention Foreman, for winning the heavyweight title at 45 or 46, and then somehow going on to be robbed against Briggs when he was 48.

Bob Fitzsimmons. At age 42 became the very first Light-Heavyweight champion: Years after he was a destroyer at Middleweight and later the Heavyweight champion.

Themanchine posted some vids of a 40+ Ray Robinson. He looked quite good.

Javier Castillejo can still mix it with the best MW's. He is 41.

Glenn Johnson is 40 and is still a dangerous opponent for anybody.

Jeff Fench and Azumah Nelson recently fought a rematch. Wasn't Nelson 50+? In a way those 2 doesn't deserve mention as they really shouldn't have fought and I guess fighting each other at that high age doesn't say much anyway.

yea, Fenech and Nelson dont really count. it was quite an awful fight from what Ive heard, and they were less than shells of what they once were.

the other ones were good though

what a mess of a career. Id look him up, but I have feeling that no footage exists of him.

Ive heard about that too, although he did lose that one match he did. still crazy.

Mamby had a real mess of a career, but he was pretty good at his best.
