    Miranda vs. Ward is Close, May 16 on Showtime

    According to Jose Bonilla, trainer of super middleweight Edison Miranda, the next fight for them will come against undefeated prospect Andre Ward (18-0, 12KOs). Bonilla says the fight will take place on May 16 in Oakland, California [Ward's hometown] with Showtime televising the card. [details]

    Ward should be able to have his way with Miranda. Good step up fight for him. I think Ward has a lot of talent, it's time for him to show it against better fighters.

          Were talking about Andre Ward here, not Paul Williams who leaves himself open for counter punches all the time. But then again Paul Williams does have a very thin body frame so it definitely is hard for him to have a good defense

              Make it happen. Miranda is a dangerous enuf puncher that he's a legit test for Ward, and Ward's good enuf to determine if Miranda can ever be a contender again or if he's just an eternal journeyman.

                I was going to cancel my cable in May, but this will be worth keeping it another month,.. along with Pac vs Hatton,. Ward will finally get his chance to prove he's a worthy challenger to Bute, Kessler and Froch/Taylors throne,.Miranda will lose,. but at least he accepted the challenge nobody else did

                  i respect miranda for wanting to fight good fighters,abraham,pavlik,allan green,and now ward,,,he wants winner of taylor/froch next too...at least he's not asking for easy fights.
