And how do you work that out? I think you've just started this thread to be controversial, and you probaly don't know anything or very little about boxing history.

Going into the first Roberto Duran fight Leonard was 27-0, was WBC Welterweight champion having stopped the 38-0-1 Wilfred Benitez in the 12th round, and had defended that title against 33-2 Dave Boy Green who was European Champion and British champion.

He had also won the NABF Title, and beat decent fighters such as Tony Chiaverini,Pete Ranzany, and Daniel Aldo Gonzalez.

So i think your comment of Ray Leonard was green is a ****** one as Leonard had learnt his trade pretty well going into the first Roberto Duran fight. So don't take Duran's win away.

You have to try harder than that, My "Duran is overrated" thread got 11 pages in less than* 10 minutes. But as I told Ree****yalous in a message(w/e his name is) I was only kidding with that thread, I know Duran is an ATG, Just wanted to see how many posters would get butt-hurt. It was fun, Some even sigged a couple of my posts. Lol =]

Duran wasn't at his best either. IMO he was already a tiny bit past it when he fought Leonard.

Neither Hagler or Leonard were in their primes (though both fought great) when they finally fought each other (1987).

Leonard's peak years were during the times of him beating Hearns, Benitez, and winning and losing to Duran ('79-82).

Nah I think Duran was game in both fights with Leonard (especially the 1st fight). His downfall may have been seen against Hearns if anything.

Yea, you think Leonard faced a prime Duran? I don't know, I mean I agree he was game, it's definitely not like he was shot or even past it. But he was a little past his prime IMO.
