Lewis wasn't "shot". He was 37, same age as Vitali is now and he was coming off a dominant KO win over Mike Tyson.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards and had Lewis badly hurt staggering around the ring like a drunk.

    punches landed

    Vitali 156

    Lewis 102

Lewis was tired and worn down from the accumulation of punches and collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission that night and would've KO'd Lewis in the 7th or 8th round if the fight had continued.

I said it before and I'll say it again, Vitali beat up Lewis and scared him into retirement. That's a FACT.

I lost a lot of respect for Lewis when he retired like a coward.

      Tyson was old and shot.

I am a huge lewis fan, yet i readily admit that win was nothing but a name.

You klitschko fans are disgraceful, Vitali's best result is getting stopped in the mid rounds by a faded ATG.

      Wlad's best result is..............

I don't even know, Brewster maybe, and you call these guys ATG's

      What a joke.

If Haye is so confident then why does he need Lennox Lewis for advice? rofl.

Vitali really won that fight, he knew it, the crowd knew it, everyone
knew it. Vitali wanted to go on.

Lewis hit his prime in his mid 30's. FACT.

Lewis will be a valuable sparring partner for Haye insofar as he is very talented and could easily imitate Klitschko's style. Lewis was also a top professional and so of course his insights will be an added bonus. If Haye takes his training seriously and if he really comes to fight, I have no doubt that he will beat Klitschko. Actually I am not sure that it will be Haye that gets the win, but it will most likely be another case of Klitschko going into self destruct mode. He is emotionally fragile and can not tolerate pressure. As to whether Haye is man enough to do it remains to be seen.

Lewis just fought Holyfield twice,Rahman twice,& Tyson & had no reason to continue boxing & then he beat vitali in SIX.fights are 12 rounds not six.so what he was ahead did you see vitalia eye? He wouldn't have lasted another 6 rounds.you klit fans are funny how you give a guy credit for LOSING! Coming into the lewis fight who had vitali beaten in his 5 fights before their fight? That's right NOBODY! I so tired of you klitschko fans running down all the real greats like Holyfield, lewis,Tyson, etc.vitali could have fought all of them when vitali was in his prime but he was too busy quitting vs Byrd & taking on bums.let's see lewis' 10fights prior to their fight: Briggs, marovic, holyfield twice, grant,Botha, tua,Rahman twice,Tyson & vitali: donald, bean, purrity, norris,Hoffman,Byrd(who he QUIT against),Sullivan, mahone, hide, youla.putting vitali in the same breath is ridiculous & anyone who says lewis was scared is an idiot & has no idea.he beat him half retired & out of shape & a rematch wasn't even needed.vitali couldn't get it done.lewis beat EVERYONE of his generation.he fought the big boys & vitali had his chance vs Byrd & lewis but choked.it's time you bandwagon jumping klitschko fans face the facts & get over the lewis thing because if that is the only thing you can hold on to defend vitalis legacy you don't have much.I think vitali is good but not great.he just didn't fight any real tough heavyweights in his prime when there were many.if he doesn't surrender like the Russians in world war 1 he may have been in some more meaningful fights.Byrd couldn't hurt a fly but vitali still quit.no one remembers 35 knockouts except klitschko fans but all boxing fans & longtime anaylsts & experts always remember a quitter.every boxer has a few defining fights or moments.lennox lewis' moments (1)beating Tyson & Holyfield(the 2 best of his time)(2)unifying the title when the best of his generation were still active.vitalis biggest moments in his 2 most notable opponents(1)quitting vs Byrd(2)losing to lewis in 6rounds.hardly even in the same universe.vitali will never be in the fall of fame & couldn't carry lewis' jockstrap.you should watch lewis career & then vitalis.I have all of their fights from beginning to end & you should be embarrassed for stating you list respect for lewis.I've never had respect for vitali because he took the easy European route to get where he is today.the bigboys fight in the states & that comes right from emanuel stewards mouth.he will never have a legacy even remotely close to Holyfield,Tyson, lewis, etc.his resume sucks & will never be great fighting todays heavies.

Wlad will start the fight fighting scared which means he will push his jab. Haye will look to make Wlad lead and come over the top with big bombs. Haye has a good ability to slip straight shots and fire in very fast stright rights and left hooks.

Never has the term "Whoever lands first" been more true. I cant see it going past 3rds. Im picking Wlad but would not be surprised at all if Haye lands his big right hand.
