Mayweather can't hurt Cotto!

I agree with Mangler. Floyd would be able to catch Cotto due to Cotto's questionable defense and inability to STAY in the fight through fatigue. Anyone who thinks Cotto is untouchable should look at the punch stats from the Cotto/Margarito fight. Also, Cotto did not look good once he got tired against Mosley or Margarito.
People on here want to underrate every aspect of Floyd's game, but he is undoubtedly a devastatingly accurate puncher with power and unmatched defense. Do not forget how great Mayweather's camp is at game-planning for opponents. I honestly believe Mayweather would knock Cotto down a handful of times before the referee stops the fight.Comment

I think only if he gets lucky like he was vs Ricky Hatton. One things for sure Cotto can really hurt Mayweather.Comment

Cotto hasnt fought what Floyd brings(Exceptional defence), A well conditioned version of Cotto that fought Mosley has the best chance imo.
I just dont see anyone being precise with Mayweather with Cottos output.
Combined Cottos skill and Body punch with Pacs speed and and Workrate with Margaritos chin and cement gloves and Mosleys steroids then Floyd will be KOed in round 1Comment

Ok, it's boxing...anyone can land a lucky punch and knock someone out. Tarver anyone? I just don't see Floyd going for the KO, he will fight smart...in other words from a distance and moving. If Cotto gets tired than Floyd can absolutely hurt him, but I don't see that happening.Comment
Come on man! I agree that Floyd has great defense, but Cotto does too and he lands precisely. Not just that, but I think that if Cotto hits Floyd with a few precise power shots it would be the end of him. Just to ask...who do you think has the best chance of beating Floyd? Be honest! Don't say Pac.
First of all, Cotto did look good against Mosley.
Second, Mosley is NOT -- I Repeat -- NOT Money Mayweather.
And neither is Paulie 'The Magic Marker' Malinguini.
Saw Cotto take some hard and heavy shots against Antonio, so don't think
Floyd would KO him.
But Floyd is too smart for these playa haters.
He'd UD Cotto.Comment

Cotto-Mosley is exactly what he needs to do..people say Cotto gassed..and that his stamina is WEAK!..but that's EXACTLY the Cotto that needs to show up against Mayweather..EXCEPT he has to MIX it up..be the agressor first for the first 3 rounds in an intelligent way!..and rounds 4-7 Cotto needs to be on the back foot..and TIME Mayweather's arsenal..Cotto's the best at Timing..and could very well time Mayweather..rounds 8-10 back to the Agressor style..wit MORE COMBOS!..he needs to rack those points HERE!..and walk Mayweather back!..and the last 2..Cotto needs to ease off..cuz Mayweather doesn't get too agressive in the LAST 2 neither..so Cotto just needs to try to be more accurate/precise..
TOO ME!..that's the perfect gameplan..especially if he can get in the inside and hit Mayweather to the body a few times..and/or some CLEAN left hooks..since Cotto is a NASTY short distance puncher..
I wanna see a Cotto Win...but I can't help but to lean towards Money May's decision..Comment

Hatton did rocked Mayweather and he's a smaller dude, so Cotto, Mosley, Margarito or any bigger fighter has a chance to knock him out. Mayweather isn't in the small division any more where he went up against Castillo and Corales. The only big guy he fought was the slower, older version of De La Hoya.Comment
