Yes he can hurt Cotto, especially at 140. He can punch, its just that he tries to hit you fast and then get out of there fast, and in doing so, he sacrafices some of his power.

At 140lbs, I think Mayweather would have stopped Cotto, at 147 he UD's Cotto.

I'd say he couldn't drop him with one shot but maybe stop him late...due to accumulation...I'd have to see what Mayweather looks like in his comeback fight to make a informed decision...Maybe not this Mayweather but Mayweather that fought Chico...Most Deff.
