Valero Crushes Pitalua in Two, Wins WBC Title

This was the first time I'd ever seen Edwin Valero. The short right he landed on Pitalua's chin was perfect. Outside of that, the fight was so short it leaves me with nothing but questions. To be 25-0 with 25 kos definetly says something, but this overall performance didn't leave me impressed by any means. Valero kept his hands relatively low and didnt tuck his chin whatsoever. Whats to say a guy with some speed or who actually fights back doesn't crush this dude? I feel him wanting the big names, but I don't know that he can beat them. In fact of the big 4 (mayweather, pacquiao, hatton and Marquez) I don't think he beats any of them. He said Juan Diaz name, but I don't think he beats him either. This was a really good PPV though.Comment

I would like to see valero vs katsidis or juan diaz, or even casamayor, one of those three would be a very good test for him. He hasn't beat any top ten fighters, so you can't say he's all that!!Comment

tests
valero got the power alright but he didn't prove anything yet in terms of defense, chin, boxing ability and endurance. he should mess it good with the other LW's and prove himself some more. yeah, why not breidis prescott for his "chin test", amir khan for "defense test" while katsidis will test his endurance...then valero myt be ready for JMM.Comment
