If I had never seen Valero before and he walked into my gym I would think he has been boxing for 4 months. He may have power but the guys style is so awkward. He will definitely be exposed.

Impressive victory for Valero. He does have the power and killer instinct. The one flaw I saw in the fight is his tendency to have his hands low. He was open to straight shots. A good boxer would have polished him off.

That's what im thinking. JMM is just too smart and crafty for him at this point. If JMM would happen to be Valero's next fight he gonna get a suprise early on when he finds out that what he did to everybody else isn't gonna work against Marquez.

Hands low, chin out, horrible footwork, comes straight forward, weird reaching jab, the list goes on. This was the first time I had seen him as well and I was not impressed. It will be interesting to see where his career will go. If I was his promoter I would JC Junior his ass and have him fighting club fighters for eternity. He looks so unathletic.

People take it easy. This is Valeros first fight with Alcasar.

Alcazar is a great trainer, look what he did with DLH.

in 2 or 3 more fights, Valero will be a more complete boxer. He wont have Calderons defense but he will improve alot with Alcazar.

And for the ones saying JMM will totally outclass Valero. I say your are Crazy, JMM is a but chinny an his defense ia not that good. He has been tag his last 3 fights a lot.

It would take 1 staight left from Valero to put him to sleep.

Im not saying that Valero will beat him 100%, but with that power he have a chance against anyone!!!!!!!

OMG im sorry i don't even post on this forums just read them once in a while but wow you're really ignorant unathletic??? do you even know what you're talking about he may be the most athletic lightweight out there you must really know nothing about boxing , he's footwork is pretty good and his speed is excellent not to mention power. Yes he doesn't have great technique but you don't even know WTF you're talking about

ok... i heard soto would be his next assignment?

but anyway, vicente mosquera remains the best name in valero's resume...

pitalua looked like every bit of his 39 years in that fight... a journeyman @ best...

The Killer V is gonna swarm... he really jumped all over Pitalua in the 2nd round. The little big man has the power.

Read an Espn or Ring article a few days ago that said Valero seemed to have improved his technique in the gym. Didn't appear like it in the fight but he does go hard like an attack dog. Any fight with a big name would he highly anticipated. Hope he steps it up.
