As reported before, Haye had to agree to a three-fight Klitschko deal. Should he beat Wladimir, the next fight would be a rematch or a bout with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko. And if he beats Vitali, then it's another Klitschko rematch [with Vitali or Wladimir]. [details]

The Klitschkos are the biggest draw in the heavyweight division, with or without the belts. Haye should be thankful that they are giving him the opportunity.

    • All you idiots supporting Haye. It's real ****ing simple (except simple people don't understand it.) Haye doesn't deserve a title shot, has done nothing to get one, and doesn't have to sign the contract then ***** about it.

Shut the **** up, fight, get knocked out, and deposit your check and stop the ****ing whining.

      • The deal is a joke but also fighting him without any title shot and just because Haye got the Haye is also a joke.

the way David Haye speaks is like he is going to destroy Klit brother but now it looks like he got some doubt.

anyway he is the challenger and if he want his name to be put on those who hold the Championship belt he should take the fight even if it means abit of disadvantage for him

that was given by hype and publicity stunt rather that fighting for it like other people

          • I've posted a few times saying Haye has been stitched up like an autopsy for this fight. However, there exists the possibility that Haye and the Klitschkos have colluded to engineer a captured market - to their mutual benefit.

I wouldn't put it past them. All three are smarter than the average bears.

            • I have much new found respect for Haye. I think Wlad will beat him, but I'm gonna support Haye from here on out. That contract was bull****. I was never a huge fan of Haye, and I didn't like how much he talked. But when it's all said and done, then man deserves respect and is doing the right thing for the sport of boxing. I can't ignore that.

Look son you don't understand professional boxing. By the rules the champion must fight one mandatory per year, all the rest are optional. Did Danny Williams "deserve" the fight with Vitali Klitschko? Apparently the fans didn't think so and it was a PPV disaster. The champion can chose whomever he wants provided the fight can be sanctioned. The choices are primarily made in regards to financial concerns, the most money (or perception of it) for the least risk. It should be clear that the Klitschkos will most likely make a fatter paycheck against Haye than anybody else. As to whether Haye "deserves" the fight is a non-issue.

                • that contract is bull****.

the money for each fight should be negotiable and this is the first contract in boxing history where if you beat on champ 2x you have to fight his big bro too.

the way this fight is negotiated, haye will end up fighting the K sister's grandchildren

                  • go Haye!

Put the HW's back on the map!

                    • The contract may have been BS, but honestly, who besides Vitali would have been a better fight for Haye should he beat Wladimir? The answer is NOBODY! To tell the truth, this contract will help Haye more than hurt him - again, only if he wins. Actually it's a dream contract - Haye, just barely into his Heavyweight career has contracts set up with 3 of the 4 beltholders!!! Not only that, the Klitschkos are the best, most lucrative deal out there. What, Haye would rather fight Povetkin for less money?
