1%? Agapito Sanchez is mostly black.. There are black people in the dominican Republic and the rest of latin America even in the the Philippines, papua new guinea, melanesia, etc. Agapito and Jorge are African latinos. Blacks are not just in Africa and the United States. Educate yourself. Jorge Julio is mostly black as well. Get real... Check em out if you've never seen them...Maybe samoan middle eastern mix?? Nah, They're black.

There was a video of Pacquiao I saw of Packie getting outboxed by a black fighter. He looked pretty uncomfortable.

Probably. As much as racists dont want to admit it. Every nation has "black" in it. The slave trade made it possible. So, Canadians, Britians, Indians, Afghani, Chinese, Japs, Pinoy, Spaniards, Mexicans, Boricuas, Brazilians. All of them, every country/race/nationality has "black" in it.Comment

One simple reason - how many top black fighters are there under 147 pounds? Not many. In what weight classes are the majority of mexicans fighters? Under 147 pounds. Simple as that.Comment

First off no disrespect to Manny, and im not tryna be controversial, but just wanted to talk about an interesting trend. THIRTEEN of his last 14 fights have been against Mexicans or fighters of Mexican descent. In fact, Hatton will be the first non Mexican he has faced in his last ELEVEN fights. Correct me if im wrong, but in Manny's 53 pro fights, not a SINGLE one has come against a black fighter. That is pretty amazing
When Manny moved up to 135, he could have fought anyone, yet he chose David Diaz? Why didn't he fight Casamayor, who was the lineal champ, or Nate Campbell, who held 3 belts.
Then Manny moves up to 147 to fight Oscar, but no one can blame him for that since it is Oscar after all.
But after he defeated Oscar, he stated that he would eventually like to face Antonio Margarito. Yet when Mosley dominates Margarito, Manny has no interest whatsoever in fighting Mosley. Now there is even talk of him facing JCC Jr. down the line. And the pacquaio camp said they were not to excited to face Floyd Mayweather. While I know this is all talk, the point is, why does every potential fighter or fighter that Manny is interested in seem to be Mexican? After all, he is known as the Mexicutioner
So what are your thoughts, do you think there's a reason for this? (Maybe from a style standpoint and the whole brawler/boxer thing). Or is it just a mere coincidence? He's certainly had opportunities, and I don't think you can brush this off as a mere coincidence
First, you have to keep in mind that where manny has been fighting, there is a disproportionate amount of latino/southeast asian fighters because those descents genetically have more small people than do, say, africans.
Second, Going to 135, at the time Joel Casamayor had already signed into a fight with Marquez. Not to mention Casamayor is cuban, which makes him closer to mexican than black (imo...sorry if I offended anyone). Nate Campbell was a good point but if you were coming up in weight would you move right to the top lightweight in the world? I think that at 140 you will see manny fight the bigger name black guys. Probably not mosley but then again fighting shane mosley right now is a long way from oscar OR Margarito.
Nobody will turn down a fight with floyd mayweather. There is waaaayyyy to much money in it. I don't care what they said. You may be on to something if manny doesn't prove me wrong. He typically picks really forward opponents that he can fight at a high pace with. Not a lot of boxer boxers. I don't know, maybe you are right.Comment
