Povetkin is a little chubby around the face, grr. cmon Povetkin, dont fail me. you need to get in shape now if youre going to stand a chance against Wladimir.

have you by any chance seen Francesco Pianeta, Tunney? Ive been keeping an eye out for him, since hes pretty young and has some decent wins on his record.
Ive also heard some good things about Alexander Frenkel.
Frenkel is awesome, but he's been strangely inactive for nearly a year.

Pianeta is slowly improving, he looked fairly good in his last fight. He has size and power, a great trainer, and a promoter who's been moving him up intelligently. But honestly, I don't think he has the natural talent to ever win a world title. He'll be a solid contender/fringe contender, but his workrate is too low and he's too slow-moving to be a champion. Sosnowski, despite his embarrassing loss to Lawrence (I scored it a draw), probably has more natural talent, but Pianeta's size and stregth is obviously an advantage.

      Povetkin: 230
      Estrada: 241.7

Even though he's an inch shorter, Estrada outweighs Povetkin by 11-12 pounds.

But 230 is a bit high for Povetkin too, he should be 225.

In the past Povetkin has been one of these fatties who can thrown a lot of punches with bad intentions. As to whether he can do it with a bit more padding remains to be seen. As yet Povetkin hasn't learned how to lose. Even when Chambers had him beat he kept on fighting and turned it around. I expect a similar scenario against Estrada. Although Estrada could surprise us all, I don't think he will.

Judging from the pic below Povetkin weighed in wearing clothes but yes he seems a little to heavy:

        Pianeta-Sosnowski:

        Frenkel-Groenewald

Frenkel has so far looked like a good prospect. This fight probably wont change that. But what do I know? I thought pretty highly about Alexeev who was badly beaten last time....

There's a livestream as usual when ARD televises, but according to daserste.de it's only in Germany.

It's being televised by Setanta as well, so I'm hoping we can find a stream.

It's not going to be easy.

Estrada was a very successful amateur, representing the US at the 2004 Olympics. He has some excellent boxing skills, and is harder to hit than Chambers. He has no power, but he lands a lot of punches when he tries.

I think Povetkin will pull off a fairly close but clear decision win.

So Povetkin did weigh in with his clothes on. So he's about the same weight (which was 227 1/4) as he was for his past two fights.
