  • Haye - "I'll Smash Klitschko Like Sanders Spanked Him"

Now that David Haye has secured his shot at WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on June 20 - he is on the verbal warpath. The way the terms of the contract are set up, Haye could be fighting someone with the last name of Klitschko until 2010. As stated last night, if Haye defeats Klitschko, he would be forced to have an immediate rematch with Wladimir or fight older brother Vitali Klitschko, the current WBC heavyweight champion. If Haye wins the second Klitschko encounter, the third fight would be a rematch with Wladimir [if Haye fights Vitali second] and/or a rematch with Vitali. [details]

The contract thing is kind of crazy. I have never seen one like it in the HW division, but the best of luck to Haye, but he is going to get knocked out.

The more i read about those terms, the more absurd it looks and sounds.

if Haye is to win i really think pressing Wlad super hard from he opening bell is the way to maybe land some bombs, and beat Wlad as was the case in the Sanders fight. I think it's his best chance.

          24/7, 24/7, 24/7.

Even a countdown show, come on HBO, it would be amazing.

I love this fight. I hope Haye beats the crap out of Wlad. No Diss to his fans, but that contract is straight up ****. Am going to say it Wlad is a *****!....his big bro dint even make a big deal about the terms when trying to secure a fight with the hayemaker. I mean what does Wlad want? Become HW champion till 2012 without risks?

Finally! Can't wait! I can't remember being up for a Heavyweight contest since.... well since Lewis v. Vitali I think!

I just can't think what will happen, which makes it a great fight. Either man could win depending on how they turn up. I hope for the sake of the division Haye does though.

Wlad always looks panicky an nervous to me when he first comes out especially in the first couple of rounds. He soon warms up though; then he gets into a rhythm on his jab and it's all over.

If Haye wins, I agree, it's really early. If this fight reaches round 5, I see Haye getting battered.

Still going to put a cheeky £5 on a Haye 1st round KO. The odds would be great and it's just as likely to happen in the first, than in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th; if it is to happen for Haye. After that, Klitschko would have broken him down physically, leaning on the much smaller man when tying him up. Then he'll just toy with him like he does with everyone and like Lennox used to do until he is no longer even a semblence of a KO threat.
